This Roleplay is set on a large town on Earth, some hundreds of years into the future.
In this time, there is no longer any prejudice based on ethnicity, sexuality, gender or religion. There is, however, a heavy emphasis on social class, and much unfairness results from this.
- The Upper Class live on the highest 'layer' of Earth - very sturdy platforms built high up into the sky. They have total authority over all those below them, and are free to do anything and everything they want. They can even commit crimes, as the police are powerless to stop them. They travel via hovercars and flying vehicles. Most of them do not work, but if they do it is in very high ranking jobs.
- The Middle Class live on platforms below the Upper Class. Most, if not all police are from the middle class, and they have a wide range of jobs available to them. They have the option of working in the middle layer or among the upper class, although they are not capable of getting into high ranking jobs. They also travel using hovercars, although they have certain boundary lines they are not allowed to cross.
- The Lower Class live at floor level. There are not many job opportunities available to them, but many lower class citizens have their own market stall or do small jobs to keep them going. They mainly travel by foot, but some do possess old run-down vehicles such as cars.
- The 'Underclass' are people who seem to have been forgotten by everyone else. They live underground, although many of them regularly sneak up to the lower class area. There are no jobs available for them, although certain residents may take roles such as thief, teacher, childminder, nurse, or whatever else is needed. Many of them seem to be surprisingly optimistic, and somewhat nicer than those above them.
At this point in time, Earth has made an alliance with a neighboring planet, the inhabitants of which occasionally come to live on Earth. These aliens generally tend to live in the middle class area, but can be demoted for their behavior whilst staying on the planet.
Robots are the most commonly used servants (both in upper and middle houses), although out-of-date robots are tossed aside and usually find themselves a place lower down.
Animals are very rare - aside from birds, which seem to have thrived - and those who have a pet are considered very lucky. It is usually only the richest inhabitants that can afford to keep a pet, but there are plenty of strays in the lower levels that manage to find homes with humans.
