Appearance: Kalilah is of average height for his age, but a little pale - he spends most of his time inside and is frequently ill. He has light green eyes, and his hair is blonde and reaches his waist when down. It is often tied up with the use of a ribbon - not something he approves of, but the sister who does it is a lot stronger than him.
Due to being something like his older sister's little doll, he is often dressed in very feminine clothing. While he doesn't particularly have a problem with this, it is one of the reasons he doesn't often go outside.
History: Kalilah was born to a very wealthy family, and because he was ill as a young child was kept very sheltered for the majority of his life. He had two older sisters and an older brother, all three of which made sure he stayed inside and didn't fall ill. During one of his rare trips outside at the age of eight, he was kidnapped by a bunch of space pirates and held to ransom. Despite the face that these delinquents were very scary, however, Kalilah learned that they actually treated their prisoners reasonably well.
After befriending a pirate by the name of Malik who was particularly nice to him, Kalilah was almost disappointed to hear that the ransom had been paid. True to their word, the space pirates returned him home, and after that he was kept inside even more than before.
It was later discovered that Malik himself had been the pirate to choose Kalilah to be kidnapped, and this revealed an even more surprising secret - the space pirate was Kalilah's brother.
Although severely discouraged by his family, Kalilah has now decided he wants to find this brother again. He sneaks out as often as he can, but as of yet has had little luck.
Personality: Very quiet and always on edge, Kalilah is very easily startled even my the littlest thing. He hates being ill and is keen to avoid anything that might cause him to become ill - which includes a lot of things.
Usually he is very obedient - for the majority of the time he does whatever his parents and older siblings tell him to - but when he has his heart set on something he is determined, and will not stop until he gets what he wants.
He doesn't know much about the lower classes, but is very curious. After being told that most space pirates are from the ground and underground layers of the town, he has decided that going down there might be necessary to complete his mission. He is quite naive, and believes that no one down there would hurt him at all.
Roleplay Sample: Gazing out of the window onto the streets below, Kalilah sighed. He wished he could be out there, among the other people, but for now he was stuck. On days like this, the boy felt like a total prisoner in his own home.
Tugging at the annoying ribbon in his hair, Kalilah managed to free his long golden locks. Seeing how long they'd gotten, he smiled to himself. He'd heard of an ancient tale about a woman with long, long blonde hair. Apparently she threw it out of a window and waited for a prince to climb up and rescue her.
At the moment, Kalilah's hair was too short for that, but he found himself wondering about doing something similar. Although, having someone pulling on your hair like that would probably hurt a lot, if it didn't just rip it out...
Kalilah sighed again, pressing his forehead against the cool glass. For now he'd just have to wait. It wouldn't be long - his parents had already gone out, it was only a matter of time before his brother and sisters did the same...
